Prestige Solid Wood Furniture has been part of the BC and Alberta furniture landscape for over 35 years. Founded in 1989, the company grew to operate over 10 showrooms across both provinces, including more than 20 years in Calgary.
Today, Prestige operates two showrooms in BC's Lower Mainland: the flagship Coquitlam location on Clipper Street (open since 2001) and a newer showroom in Maple Ridge.
Now owned by the family that helped build it
The Purba family has been part of the Prestige story since the very beginning. In the late 1980s, they began building furniture for Prestige's founder - and continued supplying the company for decades.
Today, the Purba family owns and operates Prestige, bringing a deep understanding of the product, the craft, and the customers who have trusted the name for over 35 years.
Solid wood is the standard
At Prestige, solid wood isn't a premium upgrade, it's the baseline. Every bedroom set, dining table, and office desk is built from solid wood. Even the frames inside our Palliser sofas and sectionals are kiln-dried hardwood.
No veneers, no particle board, no compromises. That's been the standard since 1989, and it's not changing.

Our furniture is built by a network of Canadian craftspeople. Small workshops and family-run operations who take pride in what they make. Buying Canadian-made matters more in 2026 than it has in decades.
